I am a compassionate and reflective Clinical Psychologist who has experience working with people across the age range with a variety of difference presentations/difficulties. I am passionate about recovery and supporting clients to maintain their wellbeing, in which they feel in control and can achieve their goals. I use a person-centred approach throughout the assessment and treatment process, with the aim of developing a shared understanding of someone’s difficulties and collaboratively construct a treatment plan based on this process.
I work from a range of models dependent upon the clients needs for example Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), associated 'third-wave' approaches such as Mindfulness, Dialectical behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) or systemic/family working. I offer therapy for a range of different problem types including anxiety, depression, panic, phobias, trauma and personality difficulties. My aim is to support clients to understand and manage their own difficulties in the long-term.
My clinical interests are working with mood disorders (including anxiety, depression, panic and phobias), traumatic and acquired brain injury, trauma, and personality.
I am passionate about recovery and people leading a personally satisfying life in which they feel in control and that they are living life in line with their values. This has been one of my main areas of focus in service development and research.
Additionally, I can provide specialist teaching and training and consultation to services and businesses.
